Financing

The Institute for the Development of Education (IDE) defines its administrative and programme budgets on a two-year basis, i.e. two years in advance of the current budget year.

IDE's sources of financing can be grouped into two categories:

  • Long-term sources (multi-annual programmes; educational services; decentralised management of education programmes; establishment of the IDE foundation; and fundraising);
  • Short-term sources (one-year projects).
    IDE's priority until 2010 will be to stabilise and develop long-term sources of financing.

The financing of the Institute for the Development of Education (IDE) is regulated by provisions given in Article 19 of the IDE Articles of Association:

“The Institute for the Development of Education (IDE) is a non-profit organisation and is financed through:

  • Projects, according to budgets provided by specific donors. The implementation of a project is financed by a donor, in accordance with the financial plan;
  • Donations, gifts, benefactions;
  • Appropriate state funding;
  • Membership fees;
  • Proceeds from legal operations;
  • Other sources provided by law.

Any profit is to be used to promote the activities of the Organisation.”

A detailed list of projects and donors is available in the section “List of Projects and Donors".
