Inkluzivni pokret (Inclusive Movement) is looking for 7 participants (18-25 ages) who will participate in project Digitales. Course will take place in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, from 12.07 - 20.07.2010.
Info about project:
First of all Digitales is a technique of digital storytelling. It's very easy, but very powerful. Digital Storytelling takes the art of oral storytelling and engages a palette of technical tools to weave personal tales using images, graphics, music and sound mixed together with the author's own story voice. Digital storytelling is an emerging art form of personal expression that enables individuals and communities to reclaim their personal cultures while exploring their artistic creativity. While the heart and power of the digital story is shaping a personal digital story about self, family, ideas, or experiences, the technology tools also invite writers and artists to think and invent new types of communication outside the realm of traditional linear narratives. That means that the project will be divided into few phases. First the participants will think and discus for a while on a theme that inspires them or they are concerned about. Then, they need to bring lots of their pictures to tell the particular story. The pictures can be from their hobby, from some special person or aim at some global theme like ecology, poverty etc from their point of view. Then the pictures are put together, and the participant reads the narration to make a digitale from one to 3 minutes long. We've already done lots of workshops like this but they are not published on the internet due to copyright issues. Here are some examples from other organizations that made digitales:

The course is designed as a peer to peer education that will teach the participants about the technique of making Digitales and how to implement such courses in their own countries. Considering this, we need participants that are willing to do community work after the finishing of the course, and would like to continue spreading the knowledge and the experience gained while learning, practicing and expressing through this technique. Even though we are not obliged to, we would like to give them training knowledge through interactive methods as it has been presented to us and to see the project and its follow-up developing in our partner countries. The course will be held by one trainer from UK that will do the Active citizenship sessions where different topics that are concerning the youth will be discussed, and the Digitales sessions will be held by a team of young professionals from cre8ive8.
Expenses:
Accommodation, food and 70% of travel cost (bus) are covered by our partners form Macedonia organization Cre8ive8 youth media production. Also participants from Bulgaria, Macedonia and Italia will participate in this project. Working language is English.
