IGBS Zagreb was founded in 2003 through a partnership between the Institute of Economics, Zagreb (EIZ) and the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, with the support of a significant grant from the U.S. government. It is accredited by the National Council of Higher Education.

Program details
- Evening classes, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
- Up-to-date, real world case studies, simulations, and more
- An intensive course of study with 2-week long classes, and breaks between
modules - Teaching, in English, by top-ranked U.S.(3/4) and European faculty(1/4)
- An 18-month management training education resulting in an IGBS MBA
Degree and an Indiana University Certificate - Tuition of €16,500, payable in installments (discounts available for companies sponsoring multiple candidates)

The Curriculum 2008/09 (preliminary)
- Orientation (January 2008) - Introduction to IGBS, your fellow MBA classmates, and the program itself
- Financial Accounting - A foundation class on the basics of financial reporting
- Managerial Accounting - Product costing, costing for quality, performance evaluation, other key concepts
- Managerial Economics - An overview of key micro-and macroeconomic concepts
- Quantitative Analysis and Decision Support Systems - The art and science of developing quantitative models: optimization, simulation, decision tree, etc.
- Operations Management - Operations management within the framework of the supply/value chain
- Human Resources: Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness - The effective use of power, influence, and control in the modern organization
- Leadership Skills - Theories and tools involved in leading and motivating individuals and teams
- Financial Intermediation - Analysis of the role of financial intermediaries in the context of financial system architecture
- Business Law - The legal environment in which business operates – common versus civil law systems, and international legal regulations
- European Economic Policy - Examines economic policy as it relates to European integration; particular attention is paid to the challenges facing Europe’s accession countries, including Croatia
- Investments - A rigorous treatment of core concepts includes equity, fixed income, and derivative securities
- Strategic Management: An Integrative Approach - A total firm perspective on approaches through which firms create and sustain competitive advantage today
- Corporate Finance - How financial strategies can lead to the creation of shareholder value
- Entrepreneurship - In-depth investigation of the processes of creativity and innovation as they can be harnessed for new business development and effectiveness
- Business Ethics - Corporate social responsibility and ethical theories in areas of competition, marketing, advertising, etc.
- Marketing Strategy: Performance Analysis - Comprehensive evaluation: assessing financial performance, changes in performance, emerging customer needs, and competitive threats
- Government-Business Relations & Strategy - Policy consequences of government action in market economies are examined. Case studies of actual policy implementation/intervention are used
- New Product Management - Program strategy, opportunity creation, concept development, product testing, demand estimation, and evaluation are stressed
- International Financial Strategy - Focuses on the cost of capital and valuing a firm in an international setting
- Retailing Management - Focuses on the retail management methods, skills and experience
- Master’s Thesis - Following all coursework, each student will develop a research plan in coordination with his/her supervisor and a faculty mentor. The resulting paper will serve as the Master’s thesis.
